What are Open Pores?
Open Pores or Enlarged Pores are small openings in the skin surface where hair follicles sit and through which oil (sebum) and sweat are released. While everyone has pores, they can become more noticeable due to various factors, including genetics, ageing, excess oil production, sun damage, and a decrease in skin elasticity. Open pores are most commonly seen on the face, especially around the nose, forehead, and cheeks. While they are not harmful, they can contribute to uneven skin texture.
How to treat open pores
- Cleanse and Exfoliate your skin gently to unblock your pores.
- Hydrate to condition your skin.
- Treat acne.
- Use sunscreen to protect your skin every day.
- Improve skin laxity.
Large Pores can be minimised by improving skin laxity with RF Microneedling and Chemical Peel to encourage collagen and elastin production, firming and improving the skin texture.
