HIFU stands for ‘High Intensity Focused Ultrasound’ and is a non-surgical skin lifting, firming, and tightening treatment, using focused ultrasound.
Focused Ultrasound is delivered to deep layers of the skin to stimulate collagen production of the dermis layer and tightens the SMAS layer to give skin back its elasticity and a natural youthful appearance We use different cartridges to treat every layers of the skin.
HIFU is non-invasive treatment, and there is virtually no downtime. You may experience slight redness and swelling following the treatment, but these symptoms should subside quickly. Setsuko will give you general aftercare advice and you will be able to return to your normal activities straight away.
Some people may see a quick lifting effects immediately after the treatment; however, the ultimate lifting, firming, and tightening results will take place gradually over the following 2 to 3 months. During this time, older collagen structures are replaced with new, strong collagen. As the collagen-building process continues, you may see further improvements for up to 6 months.
We use the latest technology called “Safety Assist Transducer technology” to make your treatment more comfortable. Traditional HIFU can be very painful, but Safety Assist Transducer technology allows targeting an accurate depth without causing excessive heat and discomfort.
We recommend HIFU every 9-18 months after the initial course which can be anywhere between 1-3 treatments, depending on individuals.
