What is DermShield™ technology?
DermShield™ technology works by temporarily suppressing neurogenic inflammation caused when a chemical peel is applied to the skin.
When a chemical peel is applied to the skin, a signal is sent to the type C nociceptor. A type C nociceptor in the skin detects the skin's pH level and temperature similar to nerves that detect pain. Setsuko is a lovely lady and so very kind, when I first came for my consultation she explained thoroughly each step of the treatment and exactly what the machine did, she had prepared a slideshow and had taken the details very seriously which I really appreciate. I chose her for my treatment due to how quick she would respond, how understanding she was, she got to know me as a person and her treatment is very reasonably priced considering the machine she uses, due to the suction and the RF being delivered at the same time as the microneedling it targets much deeper than other machines I have seen. I came for treatment of stretch marks on my legs that unfortunately occurred after longterm antibiotics. My stretch marks are still fresh and red, so I’m hopeful my results will be good and the treatment will be effective, I will update once I have had more treatments and fully recovered. Today I went 1.5mm to 2mm deep microneedling and RF, I found the pain on my inner thighs very minor almost like a scratching sensation. The back of my legs near my knees was the only area I would consider painful as it was a very sharp sensation, she informed me of any side effects I could experience and regularly checked on me before raising the RF level and going deeper with the needles. It has only been a few hours since my treatment and the areas already feel fine, no itching, no stinging, hardly any redness, although I didn’t have much irritation after as she also cooled the inflamed areas. She uses antibacterial creams and anti-inflammatoires between each step. I understand everyone is different although and I have high pain tolerance.
