What are Marionette Lines?
Marionette Lines are facial wrinkles caused by the loss of collagen due to the ageing effect. The lines run vertically between the mouth and chin, which can also create sagging in the lower half of your face. Gravity and loss of muscle tone also play a role in sagging skin, making Marionette Lines more noticeable. Skin starts losing elasticity, and muscle tone weakens as we age, increasing the likelihood of fine lines and wrinkles forming. Long-term sun exposure, stress, smoking and poor diet can also contribute to Marionette Lines.
What are Nasolabial Folds?
Nasolabial folds are creases in your skin extending from both sides of your nose to the side of your mouth. They are also called smile lines or laugh lines. These lines can instantly add age to your appearance. The creases can become prominent, especially if you weaken your facial muscle tones, smoke or don't protect your skin from the sun.
