How to look younger naturally

How to look younger

We don’t think about preventing premature skin ageing until we see symptoms such as loose skin, fine lines, or age spots. So how to look younger? People with better skin tend to make small daily efforts that don’t cost much, but these things make a massive difference in skin tightening and firmness. Today, I want to share the top 3 things that will keep you youthful without spending much money.

Protect your skin every day from the Sun

This comes No.1, without a doubt! UVA & UVB damage the DNA in your skin cells. UVB causes pigmentation, age spots, etc., and UVA penetrates deeper, destroying Collagen & Elastin. However, sun exposure is the most natural way to get enough vitamin D. It is not a bad idea to get sun exposure on your legs or arms for 15 minutes a day when the Sun is not too strong, but I always make sure to protect my face & neck with sunscreen.

Stop Smoking and drink less alcohol

Smoking damages collagen and elastin, which are vital ingredients for firm and soft skin. Without collagen and elastin, your skin becomes hardened, forming loose skin on the face and a saggy neck. Sagging skin leads to deep wrinkles.

Alcohol dehydrates and dries out your skin. If you want to drink alcohol, also drink double that amount in water at the same time.

Get good quality sleep

We know how we feel when we don’t have a good sleep. It doesn’t affect just feelings. If you don’t get quality sleep, it will affect your collagen production and skin moisture levels. A lack of sleep also raises your Cortisol level. Cortisol is a hormone that triggers inflammation.

Conclusion

No matter what great treatments you get in a salon or clinic, if you ignore these three things, the results will be minimal and compromised. Don’t underestimate little efforts every day!
