What to Do About Nipple Hair

Removing Nipple Hairs

Yes, I mean nipple hair…It's not the kind of topic we share with our family & friends. That doesn’t mean people don’t bother about it, though.

It is normal to have hair around the nipples. Sometimes you get dark coarse hair, and many of my clients tell me how embarrassed they are with this unwanted hair. Why do we get them?

Dark coarse hair is often caused by hormones. What can we do?  Here are a few tips:

DON’T

  • Use hair removal cream. Nipple areas are exceptionally delicate, and hair removal cream can cause skin reactions.
  • Pluck or shave. The skin gets itchy and sensitised after that. If you want to remove hair at home, I recommend trimming with scissors.

DO

  • Laser hair removal if the clinic uses a suitable laser machine as the skin is usually darker on nipples and needs more precautions.

Laser hair removal will give you a more long-term solution and works well with dark coarse hair. Our Motus Ay laser machine is Pain-free and only takes a few minutes to treat nipple hair.

As the area tends to be darker, you may need more sessions than other parts of the body.
